Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Friday night?

It looks like skies will be mostly clear by sunset and then mostly cloudy before morning, due to moisture moving eastward over southern Ontario ahead of Saturday’s low pressure trough. The chart below illustrates the forecast mid-level moisture a few hours before sunrise, but moisture is forecast to be increasing at all levels overnight.

Monday 26 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Monday night?
Partly cloudy skies are likely over most regions, caused by a region of mid-level moisture which is forecast to move over southern Ontario (illustrated below), as well as high and low clouds that may appear from time to time, although skies may appear to be clear over some regions due to the appearance of the bright Hunter's Moon.

Sunday 25 October 2015

Will skies be clear Sunday night over southern Ontario?

Mostly clear skies are likely except for occasional periods of partly or mostly cloudy skies over some regions, caused by low-level moisture (illustrated below for late evening) which is forecast to move eastward across southern Ontario during the evening.

Thursday 22 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Thursday night?

Skies will likely be mostly clear by sunset and clear overnight, except for some evening low-level cloudiness over regions north of GTA caused by low-level moisture moving southeastward from southern Ontario (illustrated below for late evening) and except for increasing high-level cloudiness that may appear over southwestern regions before morning (ahead of a low pressure trough that is forecast to develop west of the Great Lakes).

Sunday 18 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Sunday night?

Skies are likely to be mostly clear by sunset  and then clear overnight, except for some low clouds that are likely to diminish during the early evening as low-level moisture (illustrated below) gradually moves southward from southern Ontario during the evening.

Saturday 17 October 2015

Will skies be clear Saturday night over southern Ontario?
It looks like partly clear and occasional cloudy periods is the best description for the forecast, since lots of low-level moisture is forecast to flow southeastward over southern Ontario, causing cloudiness over some locations, but more persistent mid-level moisture (illustrated below) is expected to cause more persistent cloudiness especially over regions south of Lake Huron.

Friday 16 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Friday night?

It looks like skies ought to become mostly clear by evening, except for some clouds that may persist for several hours following sunset before dissipating, caused by cloudiness along a weak cold front that is forecast to move southeastward across southern Ontario Friday afternoon and southward from most regions of southern Ontario (illustrated below) by evening. Later Friday night or early Saturday, more moisture is forecast to move over southern Ontario and to cause mostly cloudy skies over some regions by early morning.

Sunday 11 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Sunday night?

Clear skies are likely over most regions, except for some scattered mid-level clouds that may appear occasionally during the evening  over regions north and east of GTA, caused by a weak region of mid-level moisture (illustrated below) moving eastward across southern Ontario during the afternoon and evening.

Saturday 10 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Saturday might?

It looks like skies will be mostly clear except for high thin cloud caused by widespread moisture at jetstream-level (illustrated below) that will probably appear as cirrus cloud over most regions during the night, as well as some mid-level moisture over southern Ontario during the evening that will probably cause some mid-level clouds to be visible.

Friday 9 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Friday night?

It looks like skies will become clear during the evening as low-level cloudiness dissipates after sunset. Overnight, increasing moisture at jetstream levels may cause high clouds to appear over most regions. Over regions south of Georgian Bay and near or north of the GTA, increasing low-level moisture after midnight may cause increasing low-level clouds to develop.

Wednesday 7 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Wednesday night?

Skies are likely to be mostly clear by sunset, except for diminishing patches of low-level clouds that could be visible over some southern regions. Gradually increasing jetstream-level moisture (illustrated below) may cause some high cloudiness to appear over some or most regions during the evening and increase by morning.

Tuesday 6 October 2015

Skies are likely to become partly clear by sunset, but enough moisture will  remain over southern Ontario (illustrated below for mid-level moisture, but widespread low-level moisture may be more noticeable) to cause partly cloudy skies overnight over most regions.

Thursday 1 October 2015

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Thursday night?

It looks like clear skies overnight, except for some continuing scattered high clouds especially during the early evening over regions close to Lake Ontario.
