Mostly cloudy skies are expected, although some partly clear skies may develop during early evening and allow the planets and brighter stars to be visible and to cause the appearance of clear skies over some locations until thicker cloud cover moves over southern Ontario later in the evening.

Lots of cloudiness, moisture and uplift will remain over southern Ontario overnight along the frontal zone that is over southern Ontario. Mostly cloudy skies  is probably the best answer to the question, but occasional patches of less cloudiness may appear from time to time that may give the appearance of partly clear skies.

Skies will most likely be cloudy except that skies may be partly clear during the early evening over eastern regions of southern Ontario (generally near Lake Ontario and GTHA) where some mid-level clouds (remaining after possible showers and thunderstorms that may develop during the afternoon) and some clear sky may be visible, until more substantial mid-level moisture (illustrated below for late evening) moves eastward over southern Ontario and causes skies to be mostly cloudy overnight.

Cloudy skies are expected until after midnight, and then partial clearing is expected beginning in southwestern regions as mid-level moisture moves eastward (illustrated below for early Thursday). High, thin cloud may be overhead, but a bigger problem may be fog that will form in many locations when the sky becomes clear and the ground cools by radiation to the sky.

Skies are likely to be clear over most regions, except mostly clear over southwestern regions where some low-level clouds may remain, due to richer low-level moisture overnight over some southwestern regions. Humid air will likely cause any exposed optical surfaces to become dew-covered quickly, and fog is also a possibility by morning over some locations in lower-elevation terrain near rivers or creeks or other sources of moisture.
