Will skies be clear Thursday night over southern Ontario?
It looks like cloudy skies are likely to persist during most of the evening, followed by gradually clearing skies after midnight and during the early morning as a low pressure trough moves eastward over the Atlantic coast and a high pressure (and cold) airmass over northern Ontario causes dry air to spread southward over southern Ontario. Regions near GTA may become clear, while lake-effect cloudiness is likely to persist in regions south of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
The forecast charts below (if they load onto the blog) show the dry air and clearing skies over some parts of southern Ontario before sunrise.
