Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Monday night?

Skies are likely to be clear over most regions, except for southern and eastern regions where skies are likely to become clear later Monday evening. Low-level moisture which is forecast to move eastward from southern Ontario during the evening (illustrated below for the hour after sunset) may cause some low-level cloudiness over some southern regions until dry air moves over all of southern Ontario overnight.

Skies are likely to be mostly clear during the evening, and then some high cloudiness is expected after midnight as some high-level moisture (illustrated below) moves eastward over southern Ontario before morning.

Clear skies are expected over all regions of southern Ontario as a high pressure ridge moves across southern Ontario overnight. Cloudiness over southern Ontario during the early afternoon is expected to move east by sunset, but some low-level clouds may still be visible during evening twilight over eastern regions, due to low-level moisture that may be present.

Skies are likely to be clear over most regions during the evening and then become cloudy as moisture moves eastward over southern Ontario overnight. The charts below illustrate mid-level moisture at EDT 20:00 (shortly after sunset) and at EDT 23:00.

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Sunday night?
Mostly clear skies are likely over most regions, as high cloud over southern Ontario during Sunday afternoon moves eastward by evening.
Some low-level moisture (illustrated below at 850 hPa level) may cause cloudiness over regions near and west of western Lake Ontario and the GTHA during the evening, and  then some high-level moisture is forecast to move eastward over southern Ontario after midnight (illustrated below at 500 hPa level) and this may cause some high cloudiness to be visible near midnight over western regions and after midnight over most other regions.

Clear skies are expected, as a strong high pressure ridge moves over southern Ontario.
One possible source of visible cloud may be jetstream-level moisture that will be over southern Ontario overnight (illustrated below for Friday evening) and which may occasionally appear as high-level cirrus cloud.

Mostly cloudy skies are likely, except for partly clear skies during early evening over some regions where breaks in mid-level moisture (illustrated below) allow skies to be partly clear for several hours following sunset, until more extensive cloudiness moves northward over southern Ontario.

Some cloudiness during the evening is expected to move eastward as a weak low pressure trough over the southern Great Lakes region during Saturday (illustrated below) moves eastward.
By late evening, skies are likely to be mostly clear and most of the moisture is forecast to be east of southern Ontario (illustrated below for late evening) and then skies are likely to be clear overnight.

Skies are likely to be partly clear over most regions during the evening, except for more extensive low cloud near the GTHA (due to a region of low-level moisture which is forecast to be north of Lake Ontario during the early evening, illustrated below), and then becoming increasingly cloudy after midnight (due to increasing moisture ahead of Saturday’s low pressure trough which is forecast to move over the southern Great Lakes region, illustrated below for 2 am).

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Wednesday night?

Skies will most likely be partly or mostly clear over the eastern half of southern Ontario (except for scattered low clouds), while lots of cloudiness is likely to be over southwestern regions, caused by a region of mid-level moisture which is forecast to move over southwestern regions during the evening (illustrated below for EST 19:00). Later, after midnight, increasing high cloudiness is likely over all of southern Ontario ahead of a low pressure system which is forecast to move eastward across the eastern US during Thursday, with moisture spreading northward to southern Ontario during Thursday.
