Lots of high cloud will cause skies to be partly or mostly cloudy, but skies may appear to be mostly clear during early evening over eastern regions of southern Ontario before the high cloud becomes distinctly visible. The illustration below shows the jetstream-level moisture spreading northeastward over southern Ontario during late evening.
