Mostly cloudy skies are likely, due to extensive high cloud, but the brighter stars may appear occasionally through breaks in the high cloud and give the impression of partly clear sky.

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Wednesday night?

Gradually clearing skies are expected beginning in southwestern regions and later over the GTA as moisture gradually moves eastward from southern Ontario overnight (illustrated below for mid-evening), except for low clouds that may cause periods of cloudiness after skies have begun to clear.

Cloudy skies are expected during the evening until most of the cloudiness moves eastward from southern Ontario, and then partly clearing skies are expected over most regions, except for southwestern regions where high clouds will be increasing before sunrise due to high-level moisture which is forecast to spread eastward over southwestern Ontario (illustrated below for Thursday morning).

Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Monday night?

Mostly cloudy skies with high-level cloudiness are expected, due to jetstream-level moisture over southern Ontario (illustrated below for early evening), followed by increasing mid-level and lower cloud by about midnight. The high cloud may be thin enough to allow the first quarter moon and brighter stars to be visible and cause the appearance of partly clear skies.
