Will skies be clear over southern Ontario Friday night?

Mostly clear skies are likely, caused by subsidence under a high pressure ridge spreading eastward over the Great Lakes region, but several sources of moisture may cause some cloudiness to be visible in the bright moonlight.

Low-level moisture near western Lake Ontario during the early evening (shown on the forecast chart below) may cause some low-level clouds over some locations. Another potential source of clouds is a frontal zone south of Ontario, and high-level cirrus clouds that are visible over southern Ontario during Friday afternoon may cause visible high cloudiness overnight, especially over southwestern regions.
